Initial Consultation includes taking a brief medical history, an individual consultation concerning your feet, any necessary treatment, medications, strapping and padding you may require and written advice concerning your problem that you can take away with you. At an Initial Biomechanical Screening appointment the podiatrist will take a full history of your problem, carry out an examination of your biomechanics and discuss with you the best treatment strategies to suit your individual needs. 1 to 4 Follow-up Biomechanical appointments are required for the majority of patients. The length of the appointment and the cost depends on your individual requirements, these will be discussed at your initial screening appointment The price of Orthotics (special insoles) varies considerably, ranging from £20 per pair upwards. Your podiatrist will recommend which type best suits your individual needs. Of course we will endeavour to keep the cost to a minimum without sacrificing quality of care. Also available: Foot Pressure analysis and Gait analysis. These advanced techniques are not required as standard. On occasion to aid diagnosis, clarify prescription and/or monitor progress of a condition these advanced techniques may be offered.
